Megan's 100K Post/Binding Help, Please

Hi All,

It seems that Megan has reached her 100,000 blog posting. She has decided to give away a really cute little quilt. Go on over to http://growingnotes.blogspot.com and leave a comment and you might get picked to win that little quilt.

Okay, I have a problem. I just made a cute little, teeny, tiny quilt. It is 5" x 7". I even put on appliqué. I've even quilted it. Now comes the binding. I've read and reread and reread Bonnie's tutorial on binding and I quite liked it. The only problem, I'm really binding challenged. I don't understand. I've never quilted and then bound anything, so I am really challenged here. Does anyone know about a YouTube tutorial on binding that is out there? I need step by step instructions that I can see. Somehow or other, when it is written down, I don't seem to get it. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks everyone. Keep the piece. Renée

Hi Renee, there's a tutorial at http://gratzindustries.blogspot.com/2007/05/tutorial-how-to-bind-quilt.html
There's lots of pictures, so it might help. I haven't tried mitreing (not sure if that's spelt correctly) corners yet, I'm still keeping it simple.

Thanks so much for the link! And hang in there with the binding -- I was the same way and am starting to get it. I finally figured it out from this book called Happy Endings...

Hello Renee, I noticed you haven't been blogging much recently so just popped by to say that I hope you're feeling okay.
